A large-scale drug awareness effort in Italy has gone beyond over one million drug-prevention booklets distributed in the past month. The initiative forms part of the Truth About Drugs campaign, which aims to provide clear information about commonly abused substances and their risks to young people and communities.

Approximately five hundred volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in cities, neighbourhoods and local businesses. The campaign focuses on prevention through education, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a simple way.
